NPC Hosts Walk A Mile In Her Shoes庐

Allan Robinette representing the NPC Write Hawks, Veterans Coordinator, Nathan Looper, student ambassador Anthony David, and Student Life Coordinator, Ricki Rebollar. 黑料福利社 (NPC) Cultural Diversity Awareness Club (CDAC) and Student Life hosted 庐 in celebration of International Women鈥檚 Day last week.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes庐 takes place on college and university campuses around the country through the months of March and April annually. The march is a playful way to increase awareness for serious women鈥檚 issues, including sexualized violence against women. The march featured male faculty, staff and students from a variety of areas on campus wearing red high-heeled shoes.

Pictured left to right, Mary Kay Wurm, Angela Echols, Tamra Barrett, and Katherine Polczynski, greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year nominees.Darla Thurber, special assistant to the president and chief diversity officer said, 鈥淭he event is twofold in that it brings awareness to serious women鈥檚 issues such as sexualized violence, as well as promotes the achievements of the many women who have paved the way for our female students, faculty, and staff members.鈥
