Alan Robinette has been selected as January鈥檚 student of the month. Robinette graduated
from 黑料福利社 (NPC) in December and will transfer to Henderson State
University. There he plans to pursue a master鈥檚 degree in library and information
science.
Nannette Crane-Post, English faculty at NPC, stated, 鈥淎lan is such an enjoyable student
to have and while I am happy to see him pursue his goal of library science at Henderson,
I will certainly miss his positive attitude, thoughtful contributions to class discussion,
and his inclusiveness of other students. Alan is one of those students who instructors
selfishly would like to keep at NPC.鈥
Robinette鈥檚 contributions do not stop in the classroom. He worked as a library assistant
since the fall of 2017, and helped organize the Chasing the Dragon event on campus.
He was a tenor with the NPC Singers and contributed as member of Phi Theta Kappa and
Write Hawks.
As a member of the Honors Program at NPC, Robinette digitized archival materials for
the National Park Rotary Club and participated in an Honors Program Leadership Class
with NPC President Dr. John Hogan. Dr. Christopher Thrasher, Director of the Honors
Program, says, 鈥淎lan Robinette is highly intelligent, hardworking and kind hearted.
We should all be a little more like Alan.鈥
