黑料福利社 (NPC) student Marley Johnson was recently awarded the Seiz Sign
scholarship. She is completing her Associate of Applied Science, Digital and Media
Arts.
鈥淚 have always been a very creative person and wanted to find a degree that connected
both my love for business and creativity,鈥 stated Johnson. 鈥淭he day I walked on campus
I immediately felt at home. The school offers so many amazing opportunities for students.
The graphic design labs are amazing and Mrs. Seward is a genius.鈥
Johnson expressed that the atmosphere NPC offers is what drew her to NPC. She described
campus as homey, having state of the art facilities and worth the money that is invested
in education. Compared to four-year colleges, she felt that she would get more one-on-one
instruction from instructors that were knowledgeable and excellent in their field
of studies.
Johnson hopes to be a brand ambassador in the future, setting up and maintaining the
voice, look and style of a company. As a student ambassador, student government representative,
former softball player and a student worker with student life Johnson is dedicated
to her education but also gaining the college life experience.
Digital and media arts professor Jennifer Seward said, 鈥淢arley is a wonderful student.
Her work is heartfelt and thoughtful. I鈥檓 looking forward to following her career
as she continues her journey as a professional designer.鈥
Art professor Lana Taliaferro noted, 鈥淢arley is a hardworking student who aspires
to learn and grow as an artist and designer. She contributes a great deal to her classes
through discussions and project challenges. I鈥檓 excited about her future.鈥
鈥淭o Seiz Signs, thank you so much for this opportunity,鈥 said Johnson. 鈥淚t is something
that I greatly appreciate. With this it just takes off a huge burden and allows me
to focus on my work and finding a job after graduation.鈥
