Eight members of the 黑料福利社 (NPC) softball team received Easton and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-America Scholar Athlete Awards for their excellence on the field and in the classroom this season.
Award recipients include recently graduated sophomores Paige Attaway (Fouke), Avery Creech (Logansport, Louisiana), Maci Graves (Whitesboro, Texas), Delaney Loyd (El Dorado), Rachel Lawyer (Rockwall, Texas) and Alexis Ortego (Eunice, Louisiana), as well as freshman pitcher Jalea Hawthorn (Hot Springs) and freshman catcher Kaitlyn Moreno (Lewisville, Texas).
The NFCA Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize student-athletes who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and elevate their programs through skill, leadership and commitment. The 2025-26 honorees bring NPC鈥檚 all-time count to 45 Scholar-Athlete honors.
鈥淭his award represents the passion, the purpose and the process that our student-athletes carry each day,鈥 NPC head coach Dorrie Cormier said. 鈥淢any of our student-athletes held a 3.0 GPA or above this year and some maintained a 4.0 GPA for the entire year. Their consistency and character in the classroom translates to leadership on the field and in life, and I am incredibly proud of them.鈥
